Police

The Huntingbridge Borough Constabulary cover the District of Huntingbridge. It is one of the smallest police forces in the country but is highly praised by the local residents.

 

The police station, which was built in 1975, replaced a much smaller building erected early in the 20th Century.

Most of the main day-to-day policing departments are located here with an enquiry office now open to the public from 8am to 12 midnight. The custody suite operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

 

Responsive police units operate from here 24 hours a day to cover the whole of Huntingbridge District. The neighbourhood policing team also operate from here with a Sergarant, 2 PC's and 8 PCSO's.

 

The CID office here investigate some of the more serious crimes, and the Family Unit are involved in a wide range of child and family protection issues. This includes a small team of two officers working full time to work with victims and identify offenders of online cyber-crime involving both adults and children.
