Internet Safety Home
This is a very wide subject and it's difficult to define exactly what it is, but broadly it means that children and young people:
- Understand what the risks there are, and what behaviour is appropriate and what is not,
- Apply this understanding not just in school but when unsupervised, e.g. at an internet cafe or friend's house.
The main categories of risk are:
- Online grooming (the person may not be who they say they are)
- Risks in social networking
- Cyberbullying
